Diet recipe

When you're looking for a diet recipe while on the Hay program, you'll want to remember that you must always keep your starches and protein rich foods separate.

For this reason, try not to make a 'meat and potatoes' dish diet recipe as this would violate the principles of this plan.

Below is a diet recipe for a main course meal that follows the protein and vegetable meal recommendation. You can add whatever additional vegetables you like so long as they are not 'starchy' ones like carrots, peas, corn or potatoes.

Grilled

4-4oz. grilled salmon fillets
1/3 cup peanut oil
3 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp thinly sliced green onion
1 ? tsp brown sugar
1 clove garlic, minced
? tsp ground ginger
? tsp sesame oil
2 cups chopped red peppers
2 cups chopped green peppers
1 cup mushrooms
? cup sliced onions

Begin by whisking together the peanut oil, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, green onions, garlic, brown sugar, ginger and sesame oil. Once this is combined, pour over the salmon and let marinade for four to six hours in the fridge.

Next, heat a pan over medium heat and then pour a small amount of sesame oil in to coat. Add the salmon fillets and heat until tender and cooked through, flipping at halftime. Remove from the pan and then add the vegetables along with marinade and stir-fry until tender. Serve the vegetables over the salmon when finished.
