Diet tip

When on the Sugar Busters program, you need to keep in mind this diet tip: the more vegetables you can eat the better!

This is a great diet tip for followers of this plan because one of the drawbacks to reducing all the carbohydrate rich foods you used to consume is a decrease in volume density of food.

You may be used to eating a lot of cereals, granola bars, potatoes, white rice and pasta as well as bread made from refined flour. These would all contribute to a lot of 'bulk' in your diet, making you feel fuller. Using this diet tip to add more vegetables instead will give you very little sugar and carbohydrates but a great deal of fibre. That is what is going to give you a higher satiety level and keep you feeling full and satisfied on this plan.

Another suggestion is to look to sugar free variations of some of your favourite snack foods so that you can deal with cravings slightly easier. For instance, if you used to consume a decent amount of hard candies between meals, look for the sugar free varieties in the store to tide you over.

With a little bit of time and practice with this approach, you will more than likely find that it gets easier and easier as you progress through.
