Curves plan diet

Designed by founder Gary Heavin, the Curves Plan is based around two different diet meal plans:

  • The "Carbohydrate-Sensitive Plan," a high-protein, low-carb diet
  • The "Calorie-Sensitive Plan," a 1,200-calorie-a-day diet that allows for slightly more carbs.

The Curves Plan offers sample menus and recipes, which, if you stick to them, will almost guarantee you lose weight - whichever diet meal plan you choose you will be on severely restricted calories, and thus will quickly lose weight.

The key question is whether you will gain weight again once you come off the restrictive, low-calorie program.

Pros : curves Diet

  • The plan teaches portion sizes
  • Good nutrition is emphasized
  • Shopping lists and recipes are included
  • Regular exercise is a key part of the plan - this is of course linked to the Curves women's fitness centres

Verdict : curves Diet

A diet plan review of this program suggests that while it is an effective way to kick start your weight loss, it is not sustainable. Indeed, the suggestion that once you come off the diet you can eat 2,500-3,000 calories a day, because your metabolism will adapt to the increase in food, is likely to see most women put all the weight straight back on.
