Tea Tree Oil
Obtained from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia, tea tree oil has been used medicinally for thousands of years. It is gradually becoming more widely recognised in the west for its medicinal properties.
Australian aboriginals used tea tree oil for healing cuts, burns, and infections. In the west it is used to treat a variety of ailments including athlete's foot, dandruff and yeast infection. It can be found in various forms including creams, ointments, lotions, soaps, and shampoos.
