Body wrap for quick weight loss

Using body wraps promises to tighten your skin, eliminate toxins, treat eczema, and help you lose up to six inches overall from just one session - not bad for a non-surgical treatment!

So how do body wraps work? The therapist first covers you in mineral salt and clay paste, before the body wraps are applied - warm cotton bandages which are also pre-soaked in the mineral salt and clay solution.

You then lie cocooned in a thermal blanket, relaxing and even sleeping for an hour or so. The idea is that the mix of salt and clay mix exfoliates old skin and detoxifies you, compact your body tissues.

Although the bandages are removed and the mud wiped off at the end of the treatment, you are actually encouraged not to shower for as long as possible to allow the residual clay to continue the detox and tightening process.

Although results will vary from person to person, this is a very relaxing and invigorating experience, a great way to make yourself feel better and perhaps recharge your batteries when your weight loss program is feeling like hard work.

Prices vary from around ?30 to over ?100, so check out your local spa to see if this is something that you might enjoy.
