Minerals
In many ways, minerals are the forgotten man of nutrition. While most people know the importance of vitamins, and can even name many of them, few people are as knowledgeable about minerals.
Minerals are found in many foods, and are important in many body functions including nerve responses, muscle contractions, maintaining electrolyte balance and building bones. The main ones include Calcium, Copper and Zinc. These can be obtained either from food, or in supplements.
