How does fitness nutrition vary from regular eating? In some ways very little - your diet should still be based around lean meats and fish, with plenty of fresh fruit and veg, and wholegrain carbs such as bread and pasta.
However, fitness nutrition dictates that there may be differences in the proportions depending on your activity and your goals. For example, body builders and those looking to add muscle mass would need to eat a higher proportion of protein, while endurance athletes such as triathletes and marathon runners will aim to get more of their calories from carbs.
