Bodybuilding is a simple sport - you push your muscles hard, encouraging them to grow. But the simple fact of having control over your appearance is a powerful one, and encourages adherents to do everything they can to maximise their growth - and that includes eating well, sleeping sufficiently, and adopting an overall healthy lifestyle.
