Detox
Do you need to detox? It's certainly a popular option these days, promoted both by health professionals and celebrities. The idea of detox is that you give up substances known to be harmful to your health (e.g. alcohol, smoking, sugar) for a while, to allow your body to flush out the build up of toxins.
Toxins bombard us these days - not just in the food we eat, but also from pollution, stress etc. It therefore makes sense to periodically give the body the opportunity to clear out and recover.
