Bosu ball for fitness at home

Perhaps one of the most beneficial pieces of home equipment, the bosu ball offers so many different options for you.

The best part about the bosu ball is that it effectively reduces your stability therefore any movement you perform with it will automatically call your ab muscles more into play than they otherwise would performing the exercise on the ground.

You can perform the vast majority of your weight training exercises while standing on a bosu ball such as military presses, squats, deadlifts, bicep curls, overhead tricep extensions and so on. Do note however that more than likely you will have to reduce the amount of weight you are using slightly since you don't have quite as firm of a stance.

Next, you can also complete push-ups on this piece of equipment to really give your chest and triceps a great workout. If you want to make this exercise even more challenging, prop your legs up on a ball as well.

Finally, don't forget to try using this piece of equipment for abdominal work. You can use it just the same as you would an exercise ball, sitting atop it and performing a variety of different crunches.

For those who are looking to practice their balance ability, don't overlook the fact that you can simply stand on it and work on lifting one leg off and holding that position for a period of time to really improve upon this skill.
