Liposuction for quick weight loss

The quickest way to lose weight, Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery procedure that involves removing fat from your body.

Liposuction is most commonly performed on the hips, stomach, thighs, inside of the knees, ankles, upper arms, neck and back.

While it will effect an immediate improvement in your appearance, it is not a cure all. There is a limit to how much fat that can be removed from an area at one time, usually around three litres.

In addition, it's important to remember that liposuction does not remove the fat cells from your body, so to avoid simply regaining the fat you have lost, you must make permanent changes to your diet and exercise program.

As with any surgery there are side effects. These include:

  • Pain and bruising for up to 30 days
  • Lumpiness or swelling for up to six months
  • Small surgical scars
  • Inflammation of veins around the knee if these areas have been treated
  • Swollen ankles
There is no doubt that this procedure has brought dramatic improvements to many people, but to be truly effective it should be seen as an accompaniment to improved diet and exercise, rather than a replacement.
