Calories in Mash Potatoes

Take your humble potato and hammer it in the bottom of the pan. Mashed! But what about the calories in mash potatoes? This will all depend on what you put in them. The normal is to add some margarine/butter and whole milk which in themselves are quite nutritious and add some dairy to your diet! Thsi also increases the calories in mash potatoes and whilst a healthier choice than fries, although boiled are the lowest in fat as they do not contain margarine and milk.
