Bulimia
Sufferers of bulimia are locked into a pattern of binge-eating followed by inappropriate methods of weight control (purging). Bulimia sufferers control their weight by any means possible - vomiting, fasting, enemas, excessive use of laxatives and diuretics, even compulsive exercising.
This psychological eating disorder is usually a response to depression, stress, or self esteem issues. However, unlike anorexics, sufferers of this disease often maintain normal body weight, making it harder to spot and diagnose.
