Meditation
The powers of meditation are gradually being accepted in the West - by contrast, meditation has been popular in the East for thousands of years. Meditation has many benefits including reduced oxygen consumption, breathing rate, heart rate and muscle tension.
As a result it is highly recommended for people with CHD (coronary heart disease) and hypertension (high blood pressure). In addition, regular practice has been shown to be beneficial in improving overall health, including helping those with depression, obesity, insomnia and headaches.
